KIDS DAY 2024

2 weeks ago the church transformed into a Sunday led by and led for KIDS!! It was the church’s 16th year celebrating National KIDS DAY which is celebrated all over Peru! Its like Mother’s day and Father’s day. The church goes big on this day with an evangelistic intent! Everyone is encouraged to invite a friend. The event starts out in our church patio with face painting and photo booth! They then enter the church to participate in worship and a fun teaching. And finally there is an invitation to receive Jesus in their hearts. At the end of the service the kids and their families can go and enjoy themselves in the area where the inflatables and trampolines are. At the end each kid left with a gift that had the verse Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Here are the statistics of that day!

2008+ kids who attended

280 Volunteers served from 6 am until 4pm

30 kids with Identified special needs attended with only 10% being from our church. That means the other 90% were 1st time guests!

400 Kids raised their hands to accept jesus into their hearts!! WOW!!

Our team that served the kids with special needs were able to be present to allow families who were identified with a special sticker to have preferential in lines for the games. The preferential sticker had the “I LOVE YOU” universal sign to help all volunteers identify easily who needed help. Families were grateful for the help. Here are a few pictures of our VERY successful KIDS DAY 2024.

This may look a like a normal event in the church on any given Sunday, but it has been a lot of hard work, planning, coordinating and most of all educating staff, volunteers and parents what life looks like when a family is impacted by disability. We are so very excited for the advances that have been made, but know there is much more to do. THANK YOU for allowing us to do what we get to do here. WE are so very grateful that you see value in each person with disabilities and their family. Every support you give to us, whether it is financial, in prayer or in encouragement, we hold dearly as it continues to allow us to push forward each day to help change the culture of disability awareness and acceptance here in PERU!

If you support us THANK YOU!!! 100% of our salary comes from the generosity of people like you! If you have yet to support us, we ask that you prayerfully consider partnering with us on this journey.

With gratitude,

Clever, Lisa & Kaleb
